"Decent ride, but my wallet definitely felt it"
I used Brompton Hire for a short trip it all worked smoothly. The bike was in good shape, picking it up was simple enough, and I didn’t have any major issues. But wow, for just a few hours, the price felt a bit intense. I wasn’t expecting it to feel like I’d made a dramatic financial decision just to ride around for a bit! It’s not bad service at all, and I’d probably use it again if I really needed to, but I do think it could be cheaper or at least have better short-term deals...

"Almost never any bikes when I need one"
I keep running into the same problem: when I actually need a bike, there are barely any available or none at all. It’s really frustrating, especially when you’re trying to get somewhere on time. the canned apology responses don’t help much, I’d rather see the availability issue actually get fixed.

"Still waiting on my deposit refund"
I try to be fair because I know refunds can take a bit sometimes, but this one has been dragging on way too long. I’m still waiting for my deposit refund, and getting a clear answer from support has been difficult. They’ve barely responded, which makes the whole thing more frustrating than it needs to be

"and good bikes overall"
the bike rode really well and seemed like it had been taken care of. The only thing I noticed was that the brakes felt a little worn out, but nothing too major.

Delivery and collection both turned up right on time, so no complaints from me. I get the feeling they’ve got their scheduling well sorted, because everything just ran smoothly

Booking online took way longer than I expected. It wasn’t the smoothest thing ever and felt a bit of a faff to get through.

"Super easy pick up and drop off"
I hired a Brompton for the day the pick up was so straightforward. I just showed my booking, they got the bike sorted really quickly, and I was on my way. Also, the bike was fun to ride, which I almost forgot to mention.

Dropping it back was just as painless. No queue, no weird extra steps, no hanging around wondering what to do next. I always notice that stuff because I hate when returns turn into a whole thing.
I’d definitely use it again, mostly because it was just really convenient. The whole thing felt easy from start to finish, and when you’re only hiring for the day, that makes a big difference.

"Pretty okay, but the replies were slow 😕"
The support team did get back to me eventually, but it took longer than I expected. Not a terrible experience, just wish the responses were a bit quicker!
